DISPOSABLE DIAPERS

I came to know about disposable diapers with my first baby, we were in the hospital and the nurses there used huggies, and she had severe rashes, then we tried pampers, coles, woolies, generic, branded, we tried everything, and pretty much were using only normal panties for her. That's when I did a research and came to know about the disposable diapers, I guess my daughter was around 5 months old that time. It took me a while to source where to find the cloth, how to make them took another while, and what would be the best one took a couple of designs to make.

First I would like to discuss the diapers. i think they are great, having personally used them, my daughter was extremely happy in them, she never had a rash, very easy to clean, machine washable, even if she pooped in them, they never stained, and they looked so cute that  we match her dress and diapers. Also, they were much economical as I didnt buy any diapers from the stores, she learned toilet training much earlier and was completely toilet trained by the time she was 3 I guess.

I will put link in this post by tommorrow of diapers information on the web, designs etc.

I will post pictures by the end of the week of the ones I made and used for my daughter.

Also, in India, I guess I am the only one who has the diaper material as I got some imported for usa, so if someone wants to buy it I am happy to sell it to them, alongwith the design

PRODUCT NEEDED AFTER BABY

 1. Maternity bra :- They are a life saver if you do intend to breast feed your child, I have breast fed both my kids and it was very very helpful both the times. I have tried both local and non local brands, and they actually are quite similar, I did need around 6 -8 to get through the feeding time

 2. Easy Clothes :-preferably loose from the top, to easily feed the baby anywhere.

 3. Long, wide stole :- Its nice to have a stole in the diaper bag as well, solves lots of purposes, easy breastfeeding, to cover the child if and when required, also for quick dry wiping

 4. Diaper Bag :- its nice to have a diaper bag with different kind of pockets, comes handy in keeping different things

 5. Diapers :- Both disposable and non disposable (hand made from cloth) are nice, I have used both and I prefer the non disposable ones as they are environmentally friendly, and the size fits till about 8 months. Also they are economically, and the children don't have any rashes. They are not too difficult to make as well, i will be posting a few ways to make them, in my coming blogs.

 6. Snack :- Its nice to keep some kind of instant snack, like puffed rice ( spiced up accordingly) etc, close by in small airtight container, as a lactating mother is always hungry. i will post a healthy snack receipies as well soon

 7. hot water bottle :- total life saver, whenever you are tired, just fill some hot water and put on shoulders, feet, back etc for instant relief

pregnancy tips

Hi, I am mom again and I am sharing my thoughts and experiences as a mother and a woman. So many small tips that helped me, though I had to do a lot of searching for it, the first time and this time I am better prepared.

Some tips for pregnancy

1. Easy way to help with morning sickness is some kind of dry less sugary biscuits, like Marie, etc, if no biscuits are available then toasted bread does the trick as well. But they should be had without anything to drink, not even water.

2. Avoid jaggery (gur) as it does increase the sugar levels of the body, take less sugar.

3. Take lots of water, less water means dehydrated body, and higher chance of premature labour.

4. Try natural products like spinach, liver of chicken or sheep /goat to increase iron content in the body as compared to taking medicines, if taken regularly in the last 2 months of pregnancy, it does increase the quality of the skin of the baby, makes it quite nice..

5. Coconut Water is very good feel for the baby, if possible one a day.

6. Sleep well.

8. Wearing pregnancy support belts generally help to take off the weight from the back and redistributes it throughout the body, reducing back ache.

9. regular feet massage helps reduce the water retention in the feet, sleeping with a pillow under the feet also helps.

10. Staying happy and stressfree during the pregnancy, helps the baby inside to be calm as well, it does help alot after the baby is out, as the baby cries less, throws less tantrums, and is easy to settle.
